Michael Hartung Teaches Us the Best Methods for Working an Open House

Holding an open house is a great way to get attention on your listing.  Whether you are the seller or the agent representing the seller an open house drives traffic, the more people that see your home, the more likely it is to sell quick!

First things first.  Make sure that your open house is publicly posted.  In the Twin Cities when I post an open house to the MLS it sends that info out to other sites such as Realtor.com and Zillow.

Signs, Signs, Signs!  Have a lot of signs directing people to your listing.  I also like to use balloons.  I pick them up on the way to the listing and put them on some of my signs to draw more attention.  At any rate, this gives my name and my company exposure.
