You can develop a real estate team within most brokerages, but it’s difficult to make a real estate team a success story.
As the lead of a real estate team, you’re putting in the extra hours to manage your group, paying rent, doing lead generation and the necessary but tedious office duties, when in reality, you could own your own brokerage and be doing the same exact job-- just with a higher payout.
Often team leads from real estate company already have the mentality and the skills of a broker entrepreneur- the only thing holding them back is they don’t feel ready to manage an office.
If you’re a team lead, you’re putting in most of the work of a broker but reaping the benefits of a team lead.
