CARSON BROOKS AWARDED REALTOR OF THE YEAR

Longtime Minneapolis real estate broker, Carson Brooks was presented with the prestigious 2019 Realtor of the Year Award at the Minneapolis Area Realtors’ Leadership Installation and Awards Celebration, January 24th. The Realtor of the Year is awarded each year to one of MAR’s 8,000+ members, to recognize outstanding volunteer service and commitment to community and homeownership causes.
For Brooks, serving the community is a natural part of being a Realtor. “From assisting local government with real estate matters to personally helping non-profits, he’s always going above and beyond the expected,” says Pat Paulson, a realtor and manager in the office. Brooks has served on the City of Minneapolis Real Estate Advisory Board and taken a very active role in MAR, becoming instrumental in the creation of the leadership development program, the Compass Academy, and MAR’s International Program as a member of their first trade mission to Thailand. He’s served on a wide variety of committees, including two years on the Executive Committee, two years as Chair of the Governmental Affairs Committee, and six years on the MAR Board of Directors. He is currently active in the Building and Grounds Committee and serves as a director on the Northstar MLS Board of Governors for the Metro Area. He also shares space and resources at EXIT Realty Metro with Mshale, an African community newspaper. In his spare time, he’s been involved with the Eat Street Players theatre, Hallie Q Brown Community Center, Humbleslice non profit, Habitat for Humanity and the Mshale Foundation.
Brooks is the broker and owner of EXIT Realty Metro, a collaborative, team-oriented brokerage that is celebrating its tenth year in business this fall. Like Brooks, EXIT Realty Metro has its home in Bryn Mawr, at 2901 S Wayzata Blvd. In addition to managing the brokerage, Brooks also works directly with real estate clients and mentors new agents. His agents knows him as someone who is always there to help, no matter how busy he may be. We congratulate him on this outstanding accomplishment.
